Originally from Scotland, I studied at Edinburgh College of Art where I gained my degree with first class honours and post graduate diploma in tapestry design. After graduation I worked in retail management full time with City of Edinburgh Museums and Galleries while teaching arts and crafts night classes for fifteen years until I moved to Ireland in 2003.

Following my move to Cork City I pursued further study in stitched textiles at Colaiste Stiofan Naofa, Cork and was awarded the City and Guilds ‘Gold Medal for Excellence’ in creative craft, 2005. At this time I started to develop my own creative practice. I regularly exhibit work in galleries in Cork, Scotland and recently at Stroud International Textiles Festival. I am an active member of The Cork Textiles Network. In addition to my creative practice I teach, facilitate workshops and work to commission.
